Kamala Muthukumarasamy

I chose to pursue my PhD in Linguistics, Language Documentation and Revitalization at Carleton University to acquire new skills and perspectives at an institution with an incredibly supportive and knowledgeable faculty. My research involves capturing and analyzing the relationships between social factors and heritage Tamil speech perception and production. In my dissertation work, I hope to document the heritage dialect and work with the language community to provide resources for language learning and teaching.
