Student Groups

CATL & SALaDS

We are fortunate to have two great student groups here in the School of Linguistics and Language Studies.

There is an undergraduate student society called CATL (Carleton Applied and Theoretical Linguistics Society) and there is a graduate student society called SALaDS (Society of Applied Linguistics and Discourse Studies).

CATL and SALaDS regularly host exciting and informative events and workshops on- and off-campus.

SALaDS also hosts the annual SLaLS Graduate Student Symposium.

You can read about one of their fun networking events here and learn more about upcoming happenings by browsing our events page.
