1. List your main keywords.
Read through the page. List 5 keywords for which you would like your page to be found.
- Think like your visitor. How would they search?

2. Where does your page show up in search results?
Choose one or two of your keywords. Do a search for your page in Google using these keywords. Where does your page show up? First page of search results?
3. Keyword Placement
Place keywords in the right places to increase your likelihood of first page results in Google. Review your page. Where are the keywords? Can you place them elsewhere?
Keyword Checklist
- Page title (title has the most weight when it comes to SEO)
- Headings (H2, H3, etc.)
- First paragraph
- Image alt tags
- Anchor text for links
- Throughout your content: Mention keywords a few times. But don’t get carried away, write naturally using keywords where it makes sense.
- URL
- Meta description (use YOAST)
