Usable/Scannable – People rarely read Web pages word by word; instead, they scan the page, picking out individual words and sentences. In research on how people read websites it was found that 79 percent of test users always scanned any new page they came across; only 16 percent read word-by-word.

Searchable – This is about being found on Google and coming up high in search engines. How does this work? Essentially every time someone types a search query into Google, robots scan websites to find matches. They scan millions and millions and millions of web pages. So this is all about your website being found by Google search robots. And we do that through SEO.

Accessible – As per the AODA regulations, beginning January 1, 2021 all new content has to be AA WCAG compliant. Content refers to any information that may be found on a web page including text, images, forms and sounds.

The good news…an accessible website is also a usable and searchable website.
