A classroom hosted online this week featured a Carleton doctoral student in Law and Legal Studies making a presentation on refugees and migrants in the European Union (EU) and leading a discussion with a group of high school students enrolled in a law class. Students provided with case studies and scenarios discussed how to determine who qualifies as an EU refugee and applied newly learned criteria to scenarios in order to understand the difference between migrant and refugee.
