Former Carleton MA students Meagan Breault, Sabrina Schoch, Brittany Long, Ellis Buschek, and David Siebert – together with Jennifer Evans – published a chapter in a new book that explores the historical contribution of the Royal Society of Canada to the production of ideas that undergirded white settler privilege, settler colonialism and the interactions between Indigenous peoples and white settlers. Part of Evans’s course History in the Public Interest, the chapter is the result of collaborative research in area archives. Royally Wronged, published this year by McGill Queens Press, will be launched today at the Royal Society’s annual general meeting. Each new inductee into the Society will receive a copy.
