– Dr. Melanie Adrian
You did it! You completed your degree in the midst of a pandemic. You are an exceptional cohort of students, who faced unprecedented challenges, and emerged on the other side. Well done. You have a lot to be proud of, and we are very proud of you. I wish you all the best in the months and years to come. Please stay in touch. You are an important part of the Department of Law and Legal Studies, and we look forward to hearing more about where your life, and your learning, takes you.
– Professor Doris Buss
Many congratulations to the cohort that completed while we were all learning to unmute ourselves and not accidentally send private messages to the whole class! Special shout out to my fourth year legal theory students who helped make such a fantastic class; I hope you will never stop thinking about sovereignty. Bon chance et félicitations tout le monde!
– Professor Stacy Douglas
A big congratulations to all our amazing graduates this year! We are really proud of you, and wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
– Professor Sean Richmond
Congratulations to all the 2021 graduates! Finishing a degree is difficult in the best of times, so your accomplishment during a global pandemic is all the more impressive. I want to thank all the dedicated and passionate students I’ve supervised or taught over the past few years. Working with you was a true joy and I look forward to hearing about all of your future successes!
– Professor Michael Christensen
Wishing you a bright and healthy future. You have already accomplished so much and as new adventures dawn, please always remember the message from Winnie the Pooh: “You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
– Patrick McCaffery, Contract Instructor
May your Carleton friendships remain in your heart wherever you go; may the wisdom you have gained during your studies be your compass; and may the abilities you have acquired be the wind in your sails. Congratulations!
– Dylan McGuinty, Contract Instructor
Dear graduates, congratulations on this very important and special accomplishment in your lives. You have done it and all of your hard work has paid off for you! I also encourage you to take a few moments to reflect on your success and those people, family, friends, teachers and partners, for example, that have helped you along the way and to recognize and give thanks to them. Be proud of your accomplishment and build on it as you move forward with the next stage of your career.
– Carey Thomson, Contract Instructor
