SCS GPU Request Form

Please note that SCS GPU requests are only granted if you are taking a COMP course that requires GPU use. In special circumstances your instructor or supervisor may request GPU resources on your behalf.

All the information required to create a GPU VM for a user and assign them an appropriate GPU.

How many GPU's do you require?
Typically each user is assigned 1 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). In non-peak periods and in special circumstances we can assign more.
You requested multiple GPU's. Please indicate how we can deploy your resources:
- I like to have a single VM with multiple GPU's
- I like to have several VM's each one has 1 GPU
What are your GPU requirements?
Please indicate if you can use any GPU or if you have performance requirements.
Number of vCPU's?
How many vCPU's does your VM require? Typically 2 or more are assigned by default.
How much CPU memory does your VM require?
Typically we assign twice as much CPU memory for your Virtual Machine than your GPU memory.
How much GPU vRAM do you require?
Videocard memory requirements
How much disk space do you require?
We offer local SSD disk space (fast) but this is a limited resource. We offer network attached storage for large storage requirements (not as fast).
Software requirements
We would like to know what software you will be running. Our GPU VM's come pre-installed with CUDA and Tensorflow with a specific version that is supported by the GPU. Typically you are responsible for installing your own software but in special circumstances we can assist you with your software request.
