Vintage Computer Donations
Do you have vintage computing equipment you would like to donate to the Carleton University School of Computer Science vintage microcomputer collection? Your contribution can leave a lasting legacy, helping transform historic technology into a valuable learning resource for future generations of students, researchers, and visitors.

To begin the donation process, please tell us about your equipment using the form below, and a representative from the Carleton University School of Computer Science will contact you:

A tax receipt can be issued for your donation if you provide an independent third-party appraisal or an estimate of the item’s fair market value.

Our collection has grown through generous donations from students, faculty, and staff at Carleton University, as well as from other university departments and members of the local community. We carefully document all donated equipment and encourage donors to include a short write-up or personal story describing how the equipment was used and any notable history connected to it.

We have a remarkable collection of computers and looking to fill in the gaps. We are looking for these computers:
- Apple 1
- Sol-20
- IMSAI 8080
- Xerox Alto
- Apple Lisa
- Acorn BBC Micro or Archimedes
- Kenbak-1 or Kim-1
- Atari 800
- Tandy / Radio Shack Model 1
- Apple II (original)
These are our most sought after microcomputers but we appreciate all historically significant microcomputers. We are also interested in Ottawa based computers and Canadian made computers.
