Dr. Angel Arias of SLaLS has two recent publications. The first publication draws on argument-based validation to gather validity evidence based on the internal structure of an L2 listening comprehension test used for immigration purposes in the province of Quebec. The research also provides a step-by-step guide on how to conduct confirmatory factor analyses with dichotomous data. This article can be found here.
The second publication is a book chapter that uses Bayes’ theorem in Rasch measurement theory to explore item parameter drift in high-stakes tests. This is an innovative psychometric approach to examine parameter stability across test administrations. This book chapter can be found here.
