Responsibilities:

  • A member of a two person team of Accounts Administrators who are responsible for providing required accounting functions associated with Payroll production.  This includes the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, including the Payroll and Great West Life bank accounts as well as a number of miscellaneous deduction clearing accounts such as parking fee income and athletics fees.
  • Ensure full and accurate reporting to Canada Revenue Agency for the university’s payroll taxation accounts as well as involvement in T4 and T4A production.
  • Responsible for all the financial transactions required in the administration of the Carleton University Retirement Plan, which includes the monthly remittances, fund transfers and refunds and year-end reporting requirements.
