LLS Submissions Page

Welcome to the new LLS submissions page

All instructors should now submit their course outlines, final examination details and desk copy requests using this page. We encourage you to submit for all three processes at the same time so we can quickly perform reviews, action your requests and upload your data.

Please note that the deadline for Winter 2026 term submissions is Friday, December 12th. Your speedy submission will be greatly appreciated!

Please click the ‘submit’ button after completing each individual form. If you enter details for multiple forms at once and then click ‘submit’, only one form will be processed.

Final Exam Details

This process involves submitting the details of your final exam so arrangements can be made for instructors by Carleton’s Examinations team. Exam details may include how the exam is scheduled (i.e., formally scheduled, take-home, etc.), its duration, the range of time (period of availability), whether it’s written in-person or online, whether it’s digital or paper, etc.

Please note that all undergraduate courses require a final exam details submission, even if you have no traditional final exam (“no exam” is one of your options in the form).

Also note that all online courses must have online exams.

For instructors with an exam, you may also be asked by the Examinations team to upload your exam using this link:

This process involves submitting your course outline draft for review by our team. All instructors should refer to the course outline template provided in our submission request emails to ensure that all required information is provided and up to date. Desk Copy Requests

This process involves submitting your requests for free desk copies of course texts, also called examination copies, which can be used by instructors and TAs so they have access to the same texts as their students in a given course. Desk copy requests are submitted through a departmental e-form, and the request details are then passed on to staff so they can be sent to publishers.

Note that it is up to instructors to quickly submit their requests through the LLS Desk Copy e-form, so staff have enough time to contact publishers and plan for delivery of texts.

Please also note that e-texts are now commonly offered by publishers in place of physical copies. Receiving an e-text usually requires giving your email address (or that of your TAs) to the publisher so they can set up accounts to let you download the text.
