The School of Computer Science is proud to welcome three new faculty members.
Dr. Alina Shaikhet, appointed as an Instructor, holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Carleton University. She is an expert in algorithms, computational geometry and visualization. In the upcoming academic year, she will be teaching computational thinking, discrete structures, Web applications and algorithms.
Dr. Alexa Sharp is joining us as an Instructor. She has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Cornell University. Her areas of expertise are theoretical computer science, including algorithmic game theory and combinatorial optimization. For her first year at Carleton, she will be teaching discrete structures and abstract data types.
Dr. Alan Tsang is a new Assistant Professor. He has obtained a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Waterloo. His research interests are artificial intelligence, multi-agent systems, game theory, graph theory and social networks. He will be teaching computing, society and ethics and multiagent systems.
Congratulations to Alina, Alexa and Alan for joining our faculty! Your experience and knowledge are a great addition to our school. Welcome on behalf of all the people in the School of Computer Science. We are looking forward to working with you.
