Machine Learning for Medical Imaging

October 24, 2020 at 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Cost:Free

On Saturday, October 24th at 2pm-3pm EDT, Technolgap will be hosting a seminar on AI for Detecting Abnormalities in Medical Images 📷.

Medical imaging, (e.g., computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET), mammography, ultrasound, X-ray) has advanced at a rapid speed over the last decade ↗️.

In this seminar, the principles and methods of deep learning concepts 🧠, particularly convolutional neural network (CNN) will be introduced.

Dr. Zabihollah will describe several interesting applications of CNN for medical image analysis, including Ph.D. works on segmenting myocardial scar (injured) tissue in the heart, and prostate tumor detection, in 3D MR images.

Dr. Zabihollah is the recipient of a Carleton Medal 🏅 for her outstanding graduate work at the PhD level .

Join us on Saturday, October 24th at 2pm-3pm EDT at this google meet link. You can follow any updates on our Facebook event here.
