On Wednesday, May 13, bring your lunch and learn about live and online assessment strategies at the second of four workshops in the EDC’s assessment series.
During our session entitled How To Assess: Live and Online Assessment Strategies, we’ll analyze several assessment strategies that can be implemented both in live and online courses, including:
- Formative in-class assessment (clickers)
- Group projects
- Peer review
- Submitting assignments
- ePortfolios and blogs
We’ll also discuss possible challenges and concerns attributed to online assessment, including plagiarism, timing and technology.
The workshop will run from 12-1 p.m. in room 422 Dunton Tower, followed by an optional workshop add-on from 1-2 p.m., where we’ll explore how to set up assessments using cuLearn and other EDC supported tools.
