Wondering what it’s like teaching a course in Carleton’s new Learning Management System (LMS), Brightspace by D2L? You can now hear firsthand from your colleagues about their experiences teaching in the Brightspace pilot!

The pilot launched in Winter 2021 with 27 instructors teaching 31 courses. As part of our Brightspace Showcase Series, six pilot instructors sat down with Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) to share their reflections on designing and teaching their course for the first time in the new LMS.

Featuring Peggy Hartwick (SLaLS), Noah Schwartz (Political Science), Deanna Whelan (Psychology), John Milton (Geography and Environmental Studies), Amrita Hari (Women’s and Gender Studies) and Graham Galway (Chemistry).

With the launch of Brightspace only a couple of weeks away, you can find resources and training options to help get you started in the new system on the Brightspace Support site. You’ll also have the chance to hear from other pilot instructors at our upcoming Brightspace Showcase events over the next couple of months, including the next Panel Showcase on May 20.
