Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning), David Hornsby, is pleased to announce the outstanding educators who have been named 2022 Carleton University Teaching Award winners.
Jeffrey Erochko (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering), Marylynn Steckley (Arthur Kroeger College of Public Affairs) and Jesse Stewart (School for Studies in Art and Culture: Music) have received the Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award for their dedication to teaching excellence and the scholarship of teaching and learning. They have also been designated as Carleton University teaching fellows.
Beth Martin (School of Social Work), Zachary Patterson (Department of Neuroscience) and Shoeleh Shams (Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering) have been honoured with the New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award for the energy they bring to their teaching and their pursuit of teaching excellence and innovation.
Andrew Crosby and Michael Follert, contract instructors from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, have received the Excellence in Blended and Online Teaching Award for their engaging teaching tools and techniques that have had an exceptional impact on student learning in online environments.
The Excellence in Learning Support Award has gone to Trinda Crippin (Department of Chemistry) for her positive impact on student learning by incorporating experiential learning approaches in virtual labs.
