Info Session: I-CUREUS Program
August 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
| Location: | Online |
| Cost: | Free |
Whether you’re just hearing about I-CUREUS for the first time, or you’re a seasoned researcher looking for updates and a quick refresher, this info session is for you!
The Internship-Carleton University Research Experience for Undergraduate Students (I-CUREUS) is facilitated by the Future Learning Lab, and provides funding for undergraduate students to conduct hands-on, faculty-supervised research. Funded equally by Teaching and Learning Services and the faculty supervisor, I-CUREUS gives students a paid opportunity to engage in research and receive mentoring in their discipline or area of interest. Successful projects can be a maximum of 150 hours, which can be distributed over the course of the project term (Summer, Fall, Fall-Winter, or Winter).
This online info session will begin at 1:05 with a 15-minute presentation, which will introduce I-CUREUS, and give you all of the information needed to apply to I-CUREUS in the future. We will cover eligibility, the application process, selection criteria, I-CUREUS funding, and what to expect when supervising an I-CUREUS student. The remainder of our time will be set aside for a question and answer period.
After attending this session, you will be better able to:
- Describe the application and selection process
- Communicate key information for prospective student participants
- Differentiate between I-CUREUS & SaPP
Please register in advance to attend.
