In the first session, we begin with a brief discussion of the ethical use of course-generated data, and how to interpret that data. We then explore the Class Progress tool in Brightspace, where you can obtain an overview of students’ interactions with your course. Next, we look at how to use Intelligent Agents to create customized course reports. At the end of Session I, participants will be presented with a learning analytics scenario to tackle in the second part (Learning Analytics 2) of the workshop.
