Julie McCarroll
Julie McCarroll is an Instructor in the School of Linguistics and Language Studies and holds an MA in Applied Linguistics and Discourse Studies from Carleton University. Alongside teaching, she currently researches how various technologies can motivate and engage learners to achieve learning outcomes.
Julie received a Research Innovation Grant from Carleton University in 2018 for her research on ePortfolios. She also received a Contract Instructor Teaching Award from Carleton in 2018 and most recently was awarded the 2023 Excellence in Blended and Online Teaching Award for her use of engaging teaching tools and techniques in online learning environments.
