Matthew Sorley
Matthew Sorley is an Instructor in the Department of Psychology who is passionate about teaching and supporting students. Matt creates engaging and supportive environments that encourage students to take ownership of their learning, acquire and refine skills associated with success, and empower them to make thoughtful contributions to communities they find personally meaningful. He is also part of Discovery University, a joint-venture between the Ottawa Mission, U of Ottawa, Carleton, and other community partners provides no-cost educational opportunities for low-income and unsheltered adults.
Matthew received the 2023 Provost’s Fellowship in Teaching Award for his dedication to teaching excellence and the scholarship of teaching and learning. He has also been designated as a Provost’s teaching fellow.
