Paloma Raggo
Professor Paloma Raggo received a 2014 Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award after only being at Carleton for one year. The award, which is given to those who show excellence in teaching with the integration of technology, recognized her work in Carleton’s Masters in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership program.
Paloma demonstrated great skill in combining complicated course material in a new, online format that was both engaging and challenging. Though she says she feels there are often misconceptions about the online format, she believes that it holds many advantages, particularly allowing for many one-on-one interactions with students.
Paloma serves on the board of directors of the ANSER-ARES, co-founded the Global Issues and Transnational Actors interest group of ARNOVA, and is also part of Carleton University’s Strategic Working Group on Online and Blended Learning.
