2022 EU Issues Conference Keynote

April 22, 2022 at 9:15 AM to 10:30 AM

Location:Zoom.
Cost:Free

Through the Jean Monnet Project, we are organizing another EU Issues Conference Keynote on Friday, April 22, 2022, with Dr. Agnieszka Weinar.

The title of this keynote issues conference is “Various faces of migration to the European Union – markets, geopolitics and humanitarian concerns.” Dr. Weinar will discuss the drivers of EU policy and the barriers to its development, as well as the philosophy of the EU and its powers in the field of migration. She will also give students a hands-on table-top exercise to help them come up with viable solutions to the current Ukrainian crisis.

In less than a month, the world has changed dramatically and we continue to see global shifts happening at an unprecedented pace. In every way, we want to support teachers and students through the Jean Monnet Project activities to strengthen understanding about Canada and the EU.

Please register your class with the form below.

This is an activity of the Jean Monnet Project for ‘Studying EU in Canadian High Schools’ which is a part of the EU Learning project at the Centre for European Studies at Carleton University and is co-funded with a grant from the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
