The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at the Centre for European Studies is hosting the 2025 Teachers’ Workshop to strengthen a teacher’s knowledge about teaching the European Union (EU) with presentations on the history of the EU, the EU as a global actor, relations between the EU and Canada, Russia-EU-NATO relations, the EU’s Eastern policy and enlargement, and provide a demonstration of the newly updated lesson plan focused on the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

This event is held specifically for high school teachers in the Ottawa area who are interested in expanding their knowledge of the European Union’s history, politics, and global role.
