EU Issues Conference for High School Students 2026

The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at the Centre for European Studies is hosting a one-day conference for high school students at Carleton University. The conference will focus on important topics and issues relating to the European Union (EU).

This year the list of the topics includes disinformation campaigns, European security and defense, Ukraine, EU enlargement, Populism and EU-Canada Relations.

Students will have the opportunity to engage with a keynote speaker in the morning and attend a choice of three interactive workshops throughout the day presented by graduate students at Carleton University. Students studying history, politics, world issues, economics, law, social sciences, and related courses are encouraged to join the conference.
