GOOD NEWS: SREE Student, Danielle Tessier, Awarded 2023-2023 ASHRAE Presidents Scholarship

Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering (SREE) undergraduate student, Danielle Tessier, has been selected to receive the ASHRAE Society’s 2023-2024 Presidents Scholarship worth $12,500. This scholarship is awarded to eligible students for outstanding scholastic and leadership abilities, character, and potential service to the HVAC&R profession.  This scholarship will support Danielle in completing her studies as a first-generation undergraduate student. Danielle has worked and volunteered for Solr Solvr, a solar broker, and Equitable Solar Solutions, a non-profit.  She is currently completing a co-op as an Electrical Power Engineering Intern at Stantec in the Buildings division. She has an interest in expanding her knowledge of energy-efficient building retrofits and heat pump system design.
