Fourth-year capstone students were welcomed on a hangar and facility tour at the NRC’s Flight Research Laboratory and the Center for Air Travel Research on Friday, March 7th.
The students were able to see the heavily modified research aircraft used by FRL to conduct atmospheric research, microgravity research, emission research, autonomous detect and avoidance research, and even human factors research in which they simulate the entire flight experience from check in to boarding!
