The 2023-2024 Program Requirements apply to students admitted in the Fall of 2023.

Students who were admitted prior to Fall of 2023 need to check the Undergraduate Calendar of the year they were admitted.

1.0 Introductory Psychology (PSYC 1001 and 1002)

  •   BIOL 1103 and 1104
  •   CHEM 1001 and CHEM 1002 OR CHEM 1005 and CHEM 1006
  •   ERTH 1006
  •   ERTH 1009
  •   PHYS 1003 and 1004 OR PHYS 1007 and 1008
  •   GEOG 1010
1.0 credits from Science Faculty electives or from a discipline other than Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences or the Faculty of Public Affairs
Year 2
1.0 credit PSYC 2001 and PSYC 2002
0.5 credit: PSYC 2307 or 2700
0.5 credit: PSYC 2301 or 2801
1.0 credit (Two of:) PSYC 2100,  2400, 2500, 2600
1.0 credit (not Psychology) in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences or Faculty of Public Affairs
1.0 credits in free electives
Year 3
1.0 credit Honours Seminar (One of:) 3100, 3300, 3400, 3500, 3600, 3700 or 3805
Note: Pre-req for Honours Seminar is a major CGPA of 9.0. Honours Seminar is required for Thesis Stream.  If taking the Honours Project – PSYC 4909 then replace Seminar with 1.0 Psych credit @ 3000 level or higher.

1.0 credit Science Continuation (not Psychology)

Year 4
Honours Thesis PSYC 4907 (MAJOR CGPA 10.0) or Honours Project PSYC 4909 (MAJOR CGPA 6.0)
1.0 credits in Psychology at 3000-level or higher
1.0 credits in Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Physics at the 2000 level or above
1.0 credits in free electives
1.0 credits (not Psychology) in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences or Faculty of Public Affairs
Please note:  Students are only allowed to register in 7.0 credits at the 1000 level for their entire program.
