For Fall 2018 the School of Computer Science have introducing a new SCS data cloud service called Nextcloud. The idea is to integrate access to all storage in one place. The Nextcloud service allows Computer Science Faculty, TAs, Lab Coordinators and Students to manage all their data from one place.

Users will be able to share files with other users directly on the system, or with external users by giving them a link. File sharing can be password protected, and shared links can be set to expire on a given date. In addition to a nice and simple web interface, Nextcloud offers desktop and mobile apps that allow easily to move files and sync devices. The interface offers a number of apps, including a simple mark down editor, and an integrated interface to draw.io service, to mention few. Student accounts will be created automatically and assigned to groups based on the course they take.
