Girls SySTEM Mentorship is a non-profit organization based in Canada that provides a space for encouragement and aims to increase diversity in the STEM workforce by pairing self-identifying young women in grades 7-12 (ages 12-18) with professional mentors from a diverse range of STEM fields. In doing so, mentees can gain first-hand knowledge of STEM early on, which we believe is vital in building the confidence to succeed in the future. In order to achieve this, we rely on the help of our mentors who are eager to nurture female innovators towards professional development and diversify the landscape of the STEM workforce. We have over 300 mentees enrolled and over 200 mentors who dedicate their time to mentor the participants.

We are currently hiring for executive positions for our Ottawa Chapter. If you are interested in increasing women in STEM and helping the next generation of STEMist, then this is the volunteer opportunity for you. Visit our website to learn more about the roles and apply before May 15th, 2023.
