The federal government’s Innovation, Science and Economic Development department is seeking energetic students and recent graduates studying data science, computer science, science, economics, statistics, and/or other related fields. Successful candidates will support the work the Government is doing to grow innovation in Canada by developing new data sources and enhancing the analysis, use and communication of existing data products. Developing captivating data visualizations and displays to communicate innovation outcomes to Canadians will be an important part of this work. Successful candidates will collaborate with a growing data analyst community across the department to leverage the newly constructed Hadoop environment to link open data and internal government big data sets to enhance analytical capacity.
