From exploring and creating opportunities with artificial intelligence to the opening of the Experiential Learning Hub offering the latest in XR technology, Teaching and Learning Services (TLS) has continued these last two terms to imagine the future of teaching and learning at Carleton.
As we progress into the winter term, let’s look back at the summer and fall 2023 terms and celebrate some of the accomplishments.
646 Instructors Engaged with TLS
TLS continues to support the professional development of Carleton’s teaching community. In all, over 646 instructors engaged with TLS staff during the summer and fall 2023 academic terms for pedagogical support and communities of practice.
1,685 EON XR Accounts Created
The Experiential Learning Hub (ELH) at Carleton is a dedicated space for students and instructors to engage and experiment with emerging immersive technologies, such as extended reality (XR) headsets, immersive learning experiences, 3D scanning, and tools, and support provided in part by the Future Skills XR Grant, in partnership with EON Reality.
189 New SaPP Projects
Carleton continues to be a leader in fostering collaboration between instructors and learners to design courses through the Students as Partners Program (SaPP) – the largest program of its kind in the country.
