Stacy Douglas
Stacy Douglas joined Carleton University’s Department of Law and Legal Studies in 2012. In just three years, she was recognized with multiple awards, as a testament to her mastery of the complex legal system and her deft hand at conveying these intricacies to her students.
She received a 2015 FPA Teaching Excellence Award and a 2015 New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award, given to those who emphasize Carleton’s commitment to excellence in teaching and innovation.
During her time at Carleton, Stacy has made a great impact on students. In her first year she supervised above and beyond the average number of graduate students, on top of her other teaching responsibilities.
Stacy’s recipe for success is simple – her teaching focuses on depth rather than breadth, with discussions on readings and interactive assignments to encourage understanding.
