Join us on February 27, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM in Dunton Tower 1111A for a lecture by Ioanna Sahas Martin, Fellow-In-Resident at the Bachelor of Global and International Studies Program.
In September 2023, the international community came together to recommit to the United Nation’s Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals. Despite lack of overall progress at the halfway mark, and indeed with significant setbacks in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, all countries agreed that the agenda continues to be worth pursuing. With the poly-crisis in full swing, how relevant are the SDGs to a new generation of policymakers and voters? Is “leaving no one behind” attainable? Is Agenda 2030 a quaint relic of a bygone era of multilateralism, or prescient blueprint to save the planet?
