Carleton International is offering a funded research visit to Chile for an undergraduate student in
Computer Science or a related field. The student would conduct a short-term (1-4 weeks) research
internship at Universidad de Valparaiso, working on the following project:

Project Title: Simulating Belbin roles in work teams with Stochastic Petri Nets.
Name of supervising professor: Alonso Inostrosa-Psijas
Discipline: Computer Science.
Period in which internship can take place: February 27th, 2023 to December 31st, 2023

Eligibility:

• Undergraduate student at Carleton, must be a student while on the internship
• 3rd-year standing from computer science or related field.
• Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• At least 18 years of age

Value of award: $4000, with an additional $1000 for students with disabilities, indigenous students, or
low-income students

This funding opportunity is offered under the International Research Mobility Experience (IRME), as part
of the Global Skills Opportunity initiative by the Government of Canada to promote and reduce barriers
to outbound mobility.

Students interested in applying are asked to complete this online form by November 30, 2023. Carleton

steps and preparation for travel.
