The School of Computer Science maintains three hallways displays on the fifth floor of the Herzberg building:

  1. Computing Media – Display of computer media from the Punch card all the way to the USB stick. Do you know what a floppy looks like? Have you seen an 8″ floppy?
  2. Microprocessor – Microprocessor display showing the history of the CPU starting from Intel’s 4004 to the 64-bit multi-core CPU.
  3. Hard Disk Drive – Shows the history of the hard drive, 14″ form factor to the 0.85″ form factor hard disk drives, capacities, and internals.

Guaranteed you will find something that you have seen before and something you have never seen before.
