Fundraisers

As a part of ASB, students participate in several group fundraisers to offset their program costs. Details for all 2019-2020 fundraisers will be posted in October. Fundraisers from the 2018-2019 year are listed below to give you an idea of some of the events.

Past ASB Fundraisers (2018/2019)

Carleton Hockey Puck Toss – November 23rd, 2018 | Ice House

Cheer on the Carleton University Men’s Hockey Team as they take on the University of Ottawa, and participate in the ASB Puck Toss. Pucks will be for sale during the first two periods of the game. At the end of the second period, fans will aim their puck for the center of the ice. The person whose puck is closest will take home an amazing prize. All proceeds will go to the Alternative Spring Break program.

Silent Auction – November 27th and 28th, 2018 | University Galleria

The annual Silent Auction occurs in the University Centre Galleria and features a wide range of donated items. Faculty, staff, and students are encouraged to bid on the items over the two-day event. If you are interested in donating an item to the Silent Auction, please contact asb@carleton.ca.

Spirit Games: Alternative Lunch Break – January 17th, 2019 | Norm Fenn Gym

ASB is partnering with Healthy Workplace to offer Carleton faculty and staff a fun lunchtime event that encourages campus spirit and friendly competition. Teams of four will participate in a variety of activities and sports, with the hopes of earning the title of the first-ever Spirit Games champions. Each team will donate $5 per player, with all proceeds going to the Alternative Spring Break program.

Carleton Basketball Toss – January 26th, 2019 | Raven’s Nest

Cheer on the Carleton University Basketball Teams as they take on Ryerson University, and participate in the ASB Basketball Toss. All proceeds will go to the Alternative Spring Break program.

ASB Delivers – January 31st, 2019 | Across Campus

Each year, Carleton faculty and staff have the opportunity to order a delicious hot lunch prepared by Carleton Dining Services, for only $10. ASB participants deliver the meals directly to offices, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Alternative Spring Break program.

* Please note, depending on the destination, not all meals may be covered.
