Pride Festival is a week-long series of events intended to celebrate two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (2SLGBTQ+) identities in the Carleton community. Our programming focuses on facilitating education about sexual orientation and gender identity and bringing awareness to issues within the 2SLGBTQ+ community. It will take place from October 4 to October 8, 2021.
There is an extensive mix of educational and social programming available. You can learn more about the events and register for them below.
As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve in the Ottawa region and around the world, Carleton has been constantly re-evaluating our plans in light of new information. Being both prepared and flexible is essential to making the best possible decisions at the right time. While most Pride Festival Events will be hosted virtually, select in-person events are subject to being changes at any time. Please check this website and communications from event organizers regularly. Questions can be directed to email@example.com.
Pride Festival is an inclusive event, and there is a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination. By signing up for Pride Festival events you committing to abiding by both the Carleton University Human Rights Policy and/or the Student Rights and Responsibilities Policy and understand that any breaches of either policy will result in you being removed from events and referred to Human Resources of the office of Student Affairs for possible remedial action.
