Community Connections is partnered with the Centre for Indigenous Initiatives and Health and Counselling Services to expand the program’s reach and provide multiple partner streams for specialized peer support.
- Indigenous Peer Mentorship

The Indigenous Peer Mentor Program matches new self-identified Indigenous students at Carleton University with experienced Indigenous students who act as mentors, providing academic and social support and ongoing advice.
- African, Caribbean, and Black Mentorship Program

The African, Caribbean, Black (ACB) Peer Mentorship program provides individual peer support for ACB students in the Carleton community by pairing them with an upper-year mentor. Peer Mentors are also members of the ACB community and can use their past experiences to help guide and support students in the program.
Students can connect with their mentors about a variety of subjects such as positive mental health, community belonging and opportunities for engagement. ACB mentors participate in extensive training which covers subjects such as peer support, suicide awareness and more.
- Muslim Student Mentorship Program

In partnership with Health and Counselling Services, the Muslim Student Mentorship program provides individual peer support for Muslim students at Carleton by pairing them with an upper-year mentor. Peer Mentors are also members who identify as Muslim and can use their past experiences to help guide and support students in the program. Muslim student mentors participate in extensive training which covers subjects such as peer support, suicide awareness, and more.
- 2SLGBTQ+ Mentorship Program

In partnership with Health and Counseling Services, the 2SLGBTQ+ Mentorship program provides individual peer support for students in the 2SLGBTQ+ community at Carleton by pairing them with an upper-year mentor. Peer Mentors are also members of the 2SLGBTQ+ community and can use their past experiences to help guide and support students in the program. 2SLGBTQ+ mentors participate in extensive training which covers subjects such as peer support, suicide awareness, and more.
