Prof. Gentil has begun a two-year term as Vice-President of the Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics/Association canadienne de linguistique appliquée (CAAL/ACLA). One of his main roles will be to co-chair the annual CAAL/ACLA conference, which next year will take place June 3-5, 2019, at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, as part of Congress 2019.
