SLaLS Director David Wood had an active few months travelling in New Zealand, Japan, and Hawaii. He was Visiting Academic in Applied Language Studies and Linguistics at the University of Auckland, New Zealand in September and October, where he gave several talks on lexical bundle research. He also spoke in Massey University’s lecture series. In November and December he was in Japan where he delivered two credit courses on formulaic language in Temple University Japan’s Distinguished Lecturer Series, at both the Tokyo and Osaka campuses. He rounded out the travels with a visit to Honolulu, Hawaii, where he spoke on TESL practicum host teacher research at the International Conference on Education.
