Congratulations to PhD candidate Tina Beynen on the publication of her article “Metaphor Comprehension and Engineering texts: Implications for English for Academic Purpose (EAP) and First-year University Student Success” in the TESL Canada Journal.  The article, which grew out of research conducted during her MA, examines the impact of metaphor as found in first-year engineering texts and tests on the performance of English as a Second Language students relative to their English as a first language peers.
