A research collaboration spanning three countries, that includes ALDS faculty member Michael Rodgers, comes to a close with the final publication using data gathered through a grant from the British Council. “The Effect of Auditory Input on Multimodal Reading Comprehension: An Examination of Adult Readers’ Eye Movements” appeared in The Modern Language Journal late last year with the OASIS summary coming out this month. The studies utilized eye-tracking to examine how language learners made use of imagery during input presented in the aural and written form. The research project also spawned publications in SSLA and ELT Research Papers, and was presented at conferences around the world.
