Please join us at the School of Linguistics and Language Studies (SLaLS) for biweekly discussions about Natural Language Processing (NLP). Whether you’re curious about the latest trends, need research inspiration, or simply want to stay updated, you are more than welcome to join.

The first talk is scheduled for Friday, September 29th, with the topic: “Large Language Models: What Linguists Need to Know.” In this talk, Tara will provide a brief introduction to transformers and generative language models, and discuss the role of linguists in this rapidly evolving field.

These sessions will include a mix of lectures and seminars, and we welcome anyone interested in presenting on related topics. If you’re working on something similar and would like to present your project, please get in touch with Tara Azin.
