📖 Linguistics Reading Group

April 3, 2024 at 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM

Location:246 Paterson Hall
Cost:Free

Welcome to the Linguistics Reading Group.  Sessions will be held weekly in the same place, except for weeks when there are faculty meetings taking place at that time. There also won’t be a reading group during the winter break.

What is the Linguistics Reading Group?

For those not familiar with the reading group, it is an informal space in which we all come together to talk about our one true love: linguistics! What we essentially want to do is to provide students (and faculty!) with a welcoming platform to showcase and discuss their work among faculty, colleagues, and those interested in Linguistics. It’s a great way to practice presenting your work, such as your thesis or a term paper you are working on. It does not need to be finished or polished in any way, so don’t worry about making it perfect. We also welcome general, low-pressure discussions of articles, so if you come across an article you find interesting feel free to submit it and we can talk about it in the meeting.
