On Oct. 29, some of the finest educators from across the university will present a total of 24 sessions that focus on the theme High Impact Practices: Learner Centered Teaching and Engaged Pedagogy. Discover how students, instructors and TAs are facilitating meaningful learning through a variety of endeavours, including:

  • Flipped classrooms

  • Teaching in active learning spaces

In addition to the concurrent sessions, the symposium will feature a keynote address by Dr. Roberta Bondar, Canada’s first female astronaut and a highly accomplished researcher and educator. Her presentation, entitled Plastic Passion – The Brain Knoweth What the Heart Seeks, will kick off the event.
