Helping students build the skills and competencies they’ll need to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
Drawing on Carleton’s FUSION modules and other experiential learning opportunities, the Global Citizen Scholar Program gives students the chance to practice, reflect on and demonstrate in-demand skills.
The program builds:
- Knowledge and Understanding: Students deepen their knowledge and understanding of transferable skills in each cluster.
- Proficiency: Students assess their proficiency against a five-level scale in each skill cluster.
- Competence: Students collect evidence of their skills and evaluate their competency against a three-stage competency framework.
The program is focused on four clusters of skills:
- New Literacies
- Personal Growth
- Working Across Teams
- Thinking Critically
