Registration is now open for the Winter 2015 TA Training Day taking place on Saturday, Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the third floor of the River Building.

Both new and continuing TAs don’t want to miss this daylong event filled with more than 10 workshops on a wide variety of topics as well as keynote addresses from award-winning faculty members Dr. Adrian Chan (Department of Systems and Computer Engineering) and Dr. Aaron Doyle (Department of Sociology and Anthropology), who are slated to provide engaging, motivating and practical talks about teaching.

Take a look through the programme here. To register for one or more of the sessions, login to Carleton Central and navigate to “TA Training” under the “Student Support Services” tab. Please note: due to lack of registration, some sessions have been canceled. Please check the updated schedule here and on Carleton Central.

Note: Please be courteous and think of others whenever you register for a workshop. Double check your schedule to make sure you will be able to attend any session in which you enrol. Occupying a spot on the registration list for a session you don’t attend actively interferes with your fellow TAs’ professional development as well as their completion of their pedagogical training hours.
