Get your application ready for the 2017 Carleton University Achievement Awards.

There are four award categories and one grant currently open for applications, including the Teaching Achievement Awards (TAA), the Professional Achievement Awards (PAA) and the Contract Instructor Teaching Awards (CITA). These awards recognize and enhance excellence in teaching for faculty, instructors and contract instructors, and outstanding professional achievements for professional librarians. Find out more.

You can also apply for a Research Achievement Award (RAA). These awards recognize outstanding research achievements and aim to enhance research productivity of faculty members.

Finally, contract instructors can apply for the Contract Instructor Teaching Innovation Grant. The grant provides support for investigating student learning and alternative approaches to teaching and assessing student learning at the individual, departmental, faculty, or institutional levels.

Overall, there are 28 individual awards available. To apply for an award or grant, or to nominate a colleague, forward your name to the executive assistant/administrative officer in your respective faculty Dean’s Office. Prior to the submission deadline, you will be provided with an account to make your application online. You will also be able to submit a hard copy.

The deadline to submit TAA or RAA applications to your faculty Dean’s Office is Monday, Oct. 31, 2016. The deadline to submit a PAA, CITA or CITI application to the Provost’s Office is Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016. Please consult with the University Librarian regarding the application process and deadlines for the PAA for professional librarians.
