PowerPoint Fundamentals for Instructors
Microsoft PowerPoint is a useful pedagogical tool that encourages student learning. Join us on Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. – noon for an introductory session that will provide a hands-on experience for instructors to create more effective PowerPoint slides for classroom and online use.
Considering technological aspects, we will focus on creating accessible, effective presentations and discuss best practices for use. After this session, you will be able to:
- Design engaging presentations using the principles of layout and cognitive science
- Format slides with appropriate transitions and animations
- Embed links, images, tables and videos into presentations
- Create notes and handouts
